During the writing of my novel With or Without You, which is set partly in Nepal, I came across this small charity, started by Florence Krief, that works to support two orphanages each with twenty children in Kathmandu. Florence’s story is incredible – after a visit to Nepal, she was so moved by the plight of the kids abandoned on the street there that she came home, packed in her job as a city trader and has since spent all her money supporting the aims of the charity. A truly amazing woman. If you’re looking for a small charity where all the money goes to the children and not on fancy offices, then I can highly recommend that you give Child Action Nepal your support.
