Well, what a fun day we’ve had at Matthews’ Towers with the Valentine’s Day book giveaway. Lovely Kev and I always love running these quick comps as you really enter into the spirit of it and tell us some really funny, some really terrible and some really sad tales. A big thank you to everyone for taking the time to comment.
It’s always hard to pick a winner and we normally end up giving more books away than we’d intended! But, this time, we’ve been strict with ourselves and two signed copies of ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE will be going out to two lucky winners – one for the best present ever and the other for the worst!
Believe me, if you’ve been following the thread today, you’ll know that there was a lot to choose from!
Anyway, without further ado…
The winner of the prize for the worst Valentine’s Day present goes to: Donna I’Anson – “Worst was edible nickers which sort of melt and ended up being like a waxing session to remove . Most painful night of my life. So the year after i got a apron and cooking set.”
That made both Lovely Kev and I actually guffaw. Nice one, Donna.
And the winner of the prize for the best Valentine’s Day is: Lucy Brett – “My fiance likes to do something from the heart rather than novelty gifts. My favourite year so far, was a jar filled with 100 little notes, each with a reason why he loves me.”
To me, this is just so romantic. Even as a romance writer, I don’t think I could do that. A lovely present, Lucy.
Thank you, ladies. Your books will be on the way to you very soon… C : ) xx
