This week I was thrilled to be given an Outstanding Achievement award from the Romantic Novelists’ Association. This was to mark eighteen years as an author and over 4 million books sold. It also coincides with the launch of my 26th novel – The Cake Shop in the Garden.
Lovely Jill Mansell was also presented with the same award too and it was so nice to share the occasion with her. Jill and I started out at similar times and were at the same publishing house for some time. She has also just published her 26th novel.
The charming and iconic novelist, Barbara Taylor-Bradford – author of A Woman of Substance – was kind enough to make the presentation. She was funny and warm and it was a joy to meet someone who is such an inspiration.
So thank you to the RNA and to all my readers who’ve bought my books over the years. I’m a very lucky lady.
Much love. C : ) xx
