Summer Daydreams Short-listed for Award!

SummerDaydreams - paperback coverMuch excitement at Matthews’ Towers as SUMMER DAYDREAMS is short-listed for the prestigious Melissa Nathan Award for fiction about Love and Life. I’m particularly proud of this book as it was inspired by my dear friend, handbag designer extraordinaire – Helen Rochfort.

There are some fab books on the short-list, so fingers crossed. The winner will be chosen in June, so not long to wait!

Charlotte Street,  Danny Wallace    (Ebury Press)

You Had Me At Hello,  Mhairi McFarlane   (HarperCollins)

Summer Daydreams, Carole Matthews  (Little Brown)

Where’d you Go, Bernadette, Maria Semple    (Orion)

Eleanor & Park, Rainbow Rowell  (Orion)

The Wedding Dairies, Sam Binnie   (HarperCollins)

The Melissa Nathan Award for Fiction about Life and Love, is the UK’s only literary award for humorous novels about love and relationship. It was set up in memory of bestselling romantic comedy novelist, Melissa, who died in April 2006 aged just 37 from cancer.

Past winners include:

Marian Keyes, Anyone Out there, Lisa Jewell, 31 Dream Street and Jenny Colgan’s Meet Me at the Cupcake  Cafe.

Love and hugs. C : ) xx
